Locomocean means a mad (crazy) movement. We are a design and manufacturing company with a focus to offer fun designs that bring a smile and enjoyment to everyone’s life.

Locomocean was founded in 1994 by Richard Hinton with the successful launch of a unique novelty light; Zebirdy. After moving our office into the OXO Tower in 1996, our signature products were conceived; a range of string lights that can be displayed all year round and Glow-in-the-Duck with over 25 different designs in the range. The ducks features water-activated colour changing LEDs, providing an atmospheric light for the bathroom.

With over 25 years of design experience in lighting and giftware, Locomocean’s design team can also work to your own brief to create something special for you.

In 2009, Locomocean opened our Resource and Development office in Hong Kong allowing us to develop our client’s individual needs. We have vast experience in developing products and packaging in the following categories: LED lighting, EL lighting for the retail and contract market and design led giftware. Also in this time we have developed from concept to finished products fun quirky giftware ideas for multiple retailers and promotional customers.
